Motorola just held a launch conference for its new high-end smartphones, among them, the Moto Edge X30 is certainly the most interesting. It is in fact the first smartphone in the world with the new generation Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip. The device will officially go on sale on December 15 in China, which means it will also be the first available on the market.

Official Moto Edge X30: the first with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, also available with camera under the display

So let's start from the new generation of the Snapdragon 8 which uses a 4 nm production process from Samsung, the CPU part uses 1 Cortex-X2 super core, 3,0 GHz frequency, 3 Cortex-A710 cores, 2,5 GHz frequency, 4 little core Cortex-A510 at a frequency of 1,8 GHz. In general we are dealing with an 8-core Kryo chip based on a 9-bit ARM v64 instruction set.

According to the official introduction, the chip brings a 20% performance increase over the previous generation of CPU. Energy consumption can be reduced by up to 30%. GPU performance has increased by 30%, power consumption has been reduced by 25% and AI performance is 4 times higher than the previous generation. AnTuTu's current score has reached 1.061.361 points, currently the number one in the Android home.

Together with the new ultra-performing chip we also have a large heat dissipation area 13261,47 mm², which allows you to obtain the maximum possible performance from the new generation of Snapdragon 8 at low temperatures. For example, after 45 minutes of “King of Glory”, the temperature of the device is below 38 degrees centigrade, which is basically almost the same temperature as the human body, it will be slightly warmer.

In terms of battery life, the Moto Edge X30 has a whopping 5000mAh built-in battery and also supports 68W fast charging, which can recharge 50% of the battery in just 13 minutes.

As for photography, the Moto Edge X30 also launched the first system of three main front and rear cameras. On the back we find a 50MP three-camera solution for the main camera, 50MP for the macro and ultra-wide angle and 2MP for the depth sensor. While in front we have a 60MP selfie cam.

One of the main rear cameras uses the OV50A sensor, which is 1/55 inch in size and supports OIS optical image stabilization.

Moving on to another strong point, the screen. The smartphone is available in two versions, one is the regular one, which uses an ultra-sensitive 1 billion color color screen with center hole, 144 Hz refresh rate and 576 Hz touch rate.

The other is the version with under the screen. Officially, the under-screen camera version of the Edge X30 is currently the 60 megapixel front camera solution.

For the rest, the version with camera under the screen of the Edge X30 is exactly the same in the other specifications in the normal version, which also makes it the first smartphone with a camera under the screen and the new generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.

From an operating system point of view, the Edge X30 series is updated with the new MYUI 3.0, based on Android 12, and offers a brand new user interface. In addition, the system also offers an all-new 2.0 Ready For 3.0+ mobile conferencing solution, which allows smartphones to connect to large screens and turn them into productivity tools in seconds, delivering a richer and more complete office experience. .

Going to the prices, the standard version of the Moto Edge X30 will be available in three memory versions, from 8GB + 128GB at a price of 3199 yuan (444 €); 8GB + 256GB for the price of 3399 yuan (470 €); and 12GB + 256GB for the price of 3599 yuan (500 €).

The version with the camera under the screen will only be available in the 12GB + 256GB version, priced at 3999 yuan (555 €).
