EA Games patents the ultimate method for catching cheaters

We rarely talk about games and consoles. When we do, however, we deal with news that we think is very interesting. As a gamer, one thing I hate is being confronted with gods cheaters, i.e. those who use tricks or bots to win. Well, EA Games seems to have this concern of mine to heart and has presented a patent to help me. Me and all players like me. Let's see how this is possible.

A new patent from EA Games promises to better understand players during sessions but also to catch cheaters. that's how

Quite unexpectedly, an exciting new patent has come not from a tech giant, but from a major video game publisher. EA GAMES has devised a system that allows artificial intelligence to analyze player behavior in games and adapt to it. In addition to this, it will be possible, as we will see shortly, to understand if the players are cheaters or cheat during games.

The EA patent registered byWorld Intellectual Property Organization with number US11478713 describes "the automatic detection of emergent behavior in the interactive agents of an interactive environment". Talk about artificial intelligence using a special machine learning based clustering algorithm to group users based on similarities in their behavior.

In simple terms, the AI will detect player behavior and rank them by identify the most common patterns. This allows the game to adapt to users and adjust in real time to changes in their behavior. For example, if the NPC knows that the player has used a sword regularly before, this will be factored into the conversation. But if the player has killed civilians, instead of talking, the NPC will get scared and run away. In addition, such an analysis will allow a faster bug detection when a large number of people start exploiting some kind of exploit for profit. AI will also help identify bots.
