In the last period we are very happy to talk about Android 12 and the news it will bring with it. Although these have not been officially announced, interesting news has come out from the data that were found within the application teardowns. One of these innovations concerns hibernation of unused applications to optimize and free up excess RAM. Another novelty concerns the privacy area with integration of a VPN. Today we go to see the last thing discovered by XDA members which concerns sharing the password.
Android 12 will allow you to share your password via Nearby Share, much easier than before
Starting with Android 10, Google has introduced a useful innovation that makes it easier to give other users our WiFi password. This consists of the creating a QR code which contains, in fact, the password of the internet line. By scanning this code the other user has automatic access to the network. But this requires a certain closeness between the two users (never from this period) and for this with Android 12, Google has come up with a better solution.
It will therefore be possible to share WiFi via Nearby Share, that is, sharing nearby. All Google-certified smartphones have access to a function called sharing nearby. This feature, which requires the consent of both the sender and the recipient, allows you to send files from one device to another. In the future, it will reportedly be possible to do this with the WiFi password as well.
With the push of a button, it's possible allow nearby smartphones to access the WiFi network used. A really good news as it would comfortably allow you to switch from 5G (or 4G) network to WiFi without the need to get close to another user. A solution that was probably also studied due to the pandemic period. What do you think?
