The ASUS ROG Phone 3 is the latest gaming phone from the Taiwan-based brand. The smartphone has enjoyed great success among users and has been applauded by the media, but a problem known as a "back crash" is ruining its reputation.
ASUS ROG Phone 3 receives update to fix "black crush" bug
To fix this the brand has just released a new update with build number 17.0823.2007.58 which brings fixes for the just mentioned black crush on the device's AMOLED display, battery usage statistics and detection problem with ROG Strix Arion SSD . It also adds the ROG Connect community and enables Telia VoLTE / VoWiFi in Norway, Sweden and Finland.
The official changelog for build 17.0823.2007.58 includes:
- Armory Crate now also supports portrait mode. Added the ROG Connect community.
- Telia VoLTE / VoWiFi enabled in Norway, Sweden and Finland
- Fixed conflict between Netflix app and system brightness function
- Fixed being unable to detect ROG Strix Arion SSD issue from bottom USB port
- Fixed a large difference between the total power consumption items on the battery page and the actual power display in the status bar.
We note that ASUS has confirmed that it wants to further optimize the smartphone display to correct all the various anomalies.
