ASUS has just released the new Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro, which like their predecessors focus everything on the rear camera which turns into the front one with a tap.

Let's start with the main camera which is equipped with a 686MP Sony IMX64 sensor with 2 × 1 OCL autofocus. It can record 8K video at 30fps and slow down to up to 120fps at 4K. We then have a 12MP ultrawide camera that uses the IMX363 sensor. This camera offers autofocus and Dual Pixel AF type therefore really performing. Additionally, the sensor is capable of recording 4K video with HyperSteady Video mode.
Finally, there is a third telephoto camera with an 80mm equivalent lens with 3x optical zoom. Both this and the main one have OIS on the Pro version and not the standard one.
As for the other specifications, the ASUS ZenFone 7 and 7 Pro use a Samsung-made AMOLED panel of 6,67 inches in size and protected by Gorilla Glass 6. They have a resolution of 1080p + (20: 9), refresh rate of 90 Hz, 1.000 nits peak brightness, DC dimming for flicker-free low-light operation, 3% DCI-P110 coverage and Always On mode.
The smartphones are powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+, along with up to 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. There is also a slot for inserting a microSD card.
Finally, we have a 5000mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging.
For pricing, the ASUS Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro will be released globally on September 1st. The basic model costs around 600 euros with 6GB / 128GB, while the Pro model with 8GB / 256GB costs 800 euros. Global prices will be confirmed within the next week.
