ASUS Zenfone 8 spotted on Geekbench: confirmed Snapdragon 888 and 8GB of RAM

ASUS Zenfone 8

The ASUS Zenfone 8 would have been identified on Geekbench with the model number ASUS_I004D, or at least this is what is thought based on the kernel source code discovered by XDA Developers in the previous days.

The Geekbench benchmark reveals that the Zenfone 8 is powered by a Snapdragon 888 chipset with 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 11 as the operating system.

As for the score, the smartphone scored 1124 points in single core mode and 3669 points in multi core mode. These scores are on par with other devices powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset and at the same time are almost identical to those obtained by the Zenfone 8 Mini a few days ago.

So, summing up all the previous rumors, the Zenfone 8 series models will come with the Snapdragon 888 chipset and AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and FHD + resolution. For photos, we should find a 686MP Sony IMX64 main camera along with a Sony IMX663 module making its debut. Finally, the Zenfone 8 series will be equipped with a 30W fast charge.
