Corning's new Gorilla Glass protects smartphone cameras and lets in more light

Corning, known for its Gorilla Glass for smartphones, presented the new ones Gorilla Glass DX and DX +, optimized for smartphone camera lenses. It is worth mentioning that two years ago, the company introduced the Corning DX and DX + protective eyewear, which focus on wearable electronics, especially smartwatches and fitness bracelets.

The company claims that the new DX and DX + glasses have received a different composition to provide scratch resistance without sacrificing photo and video quality. According to the official statement, the new composite material allows 98% of ambient light to pass through maintaining the same scratch resistance as the normal model.

It has not yet been announced which phones will use the new glasses, but Corning has already confirmed that the South Korean manufacturing giant Samsung will be the first to launch such devices.
