DJI is preparing to introduce the sixth generation of the soon stabilizers Osmo Mobile brand for smartphones. Information on the new products was shared by authoritative insider Roland Quand, who posted pictures, specifications and prices of the OM 6. In addition, he also spoke about the new OM SE economic model.
DJI OM 6 will be noticeably different from the previous version: it will still be more compact, for which the manufacturer redesigned the folding mechanism. The layout of the controls has also been changed and on the left side there is a new one wheel, which is responsible for focusing and zooming. According to the German insider, the subject tracking feature is here to stay. Thanks to the integrated battery from ben 1000 mAh, the stabilizer can work up to 6.5 hours. It takes 1.5 hours to fully charge. The weight of the device itself is 309 grams, the magnetic attachment to the smartphone is 31 grams and smartphones weighing up to 290 grams are supported.
Along with the sixth version, DJI will introduce a cheaper SE model. Among the most notable differences, this one will not have the zoom wheel. For autonomy, one will be responsible battery from 2600 mAh, which provides up to 8 hours of continuous shooting. Together with the magnetic holder, the stabilizer will weigh 383 grams and will support smartphones up to 290 grams.
Finally the prices: Roland Quandt says the DJI OM 6 will be priced at 179 €, while the SE version will cost 109 €. Unfortunately we don't know when it will come out.
