DxOMark now also tests the batteries: here is the first ranking

After having anticipated it a few days ago, today the famous photo benchmarking site, DxOMark, has just officially launched its new benchmark for batteries on board smartphones.

DxOMark has also released the first official ranking with 17 devices and scores ranging from a minimum of 54 points to a maximum of 88 points.

Let's start with the smartphone that scored 88 points, thus going to first place in the standings: the Samsung Galaxy M51. The device comes with a 7000mAh battery, coupled with the Snapdragon 730G processor, Full HD + 60Hz screen,.

In second place we have the Wiko Power U30 with a battery rating of 86. It is a smartphone with a 6000mAh battery, a 720p screen and a MediaTek G35 processor.

The OPPO Find X3 Neo is instead in third place with its 4500mAh battery and Snapdragon 865 processor.

While the iPhone 12 Pro Max manages to take fourth place with a battery score of 78. A very good score if we consider that the first two devices have huge batteries and the OPPO Find X3 Neo cannot be considered a flagship.

As for the test itself, DxOMark revealed that testing the entire battery experience and quantifies 3 main areas:

  • Autonomy (how long a charge lasts)
  • Charging (how long does it take to recharge)
  • Efficiency (how much the phone consumes when charging or discharging)
