Meizu is not one of those brands that you often hear about, perhaps because of smartphones that are not always updated, therefore directing the user towards brands that instead make updates their workhorses. But in the last period Meizu seems to have returned to the crest of the wave, thanks to the launch of the 17 series, which it has fully booked a few minutes before the start of the preorder.
And just with the arrival on the market of Meizu 17 and 17 Pro, the Chinese company has also presented the new version of the Flyme interface that arrives at version 8.1 on an Android 10 basis. But these will not be the only devices of the brand to benefit of Flyme 81 and Android 10, in fact the company has released a teaser that shows and confirms which smartphones will benefit from it, anticipating that for these models a test phase of the Flyme 8.1 firmware will be available which will be held between 8 and May 15.

It should be noted that by surprise we find elements such as Note 8 and X8, marketed at the end of 2018, therefore it was not guaranteed that they were still supported. Meizu is certainly not the fastest company to update, but this detail could reassure us about the possibility of receiving new updates even years later.
Among the novelties of the Flyme 8.1 we find new AI functions dedicated to games, a new dark theme, better management of the App in window mode and much more, although at the moment it is firmware versions dedicated to the Chinese market. So we just have to wait for the official release for the western market.
