With regard to the tuberculosis, Google uses deep learning systems to detect potential patients and recommend them to various follow-up tests. The model essentially uses chest X-ray images as a preliminary stage for screening before people directly opt for the much more expensive diagnostic test. The model returns an output between 0 and 1, which means that it provides a probability that a follow-up diagnostic test is needed or not.
