For several months we have been talking about the next Google Pixel 5a, starting from the month of April in which it was assumed that the smartphone would be canceled; Google promptly replied that it will launch around the same time as last year's Pixel 4a. We therefore remember that the Pixel 4a was made official in August, which indicates that the Pixel 5a could be released in the same month.
Google Pixel 5a certified by FCC: launch scheduled for August
Well, today the Google Pixel 5a got Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approval in the United States.
The FCC certification mentions three model numbers: G1F8F, G4S1M and GR0M2. Among them, two have the same FCC ID, while the other has a different FCC ID. It therefore appears that two variants of the device will be launched in the United States, one that will be available exclusively through Verizon and another that will be sold through other operators. As for the Global version of the Pixel 5a, this shouldn't have CDMA support.
Additionally, renders of the Pixel 5a that appeared a few months ago revealed that its appearance will be similar to that of the Pixel 4a 5G. It should also adopt the same Snapdragon 765G, which powered the previous model.
