We continue to talk about bans and problems on the part of the Huawei brand towards the American government, but despite this, the spirit of carrying out its technological mission and establishing itself as an innovation company is not lacking. In fact, the latest rumors suggest that Huawei will be the first company to launch a smartphone with a selfie camera under the display, thus surpassing the OPPO and Vivo antagonists.
Honor Magic 3: some patents confirm the selfie camera under the screen
In truth, it will be the spin off company Honor to decree this record, with the presentation of the Honor Magic 3, and the primacy does not seem to come for generosity, but since it is a completely new and never tested technology, it is better to risk with a "minor" brand than directly with one's "honor". It is also rumored that the large-scale implementation of this technology may already take place as early as 2021.
The patents that appeared on the net seem to relate to the Honor Magic 3 and although not explicitly stated, there is no trace of holes or pop ups to host the selfie camera that will be inserted under the screen. From the two images, very similar, you can also view a section that seems to identify the presence of a side display, which could have dedicated functions, as seen on Xiaomi's futuristic Mi Mix Alpha concept phone.
In fact, Honor Magic 3 will enjoy a screen with decidedly curved edges, with sections that touch the back cover, a solution that could also be taken on Huawei's future Mate 40. Moreover, we do not find the presence of physical buttons, such as the volume rocker, thus suggesting that Honor Magic 3 could be controlled exclusively with touch controls.
