Honor V40: Presentation postponed to January 18, here is the first official teaser

The former sub-brand of Huawei, Honor, has just made it official that the Honor V40 will actually be presented on January 18th and not January 12th as previously thought. Also, starting today, you can book your smartphone in China via offline and online platforms such as JD.com, Tmall, Suning and the brand new Honor Mall.

The brand has also released a new poster of the Honor V40, so we can finally take a look at the first official photo of the device.

As we can see, the Honor V40's screen has curved edges, while in the upper left corner there is a cutout for the two front cameras.

Previous leaks had suggested that the Honor V40 will be equipped with the same 6,72-inch OLED panel available on the Huawei Nova 8 Pro. The display will therefore be able to support a refresh rate of 120Hz and a tactile sample rate of 300Hz. Also, the screen may be equipped with a fingerprint reader.

For photography, we should find two 32-megapixel and 16-megapixel front cameras. While on the back we will find four with 64 megapixel main, 8 megapixel ultra wide secondary, 2 megapixel depth sensor and 2 megapixel macro lens. That said, some say the V40 could adopt a 64-megapixel lens or 766-megapixel Sony IMX50 camera instead.

Finally, the smartphone will be powered by the Dimensity 1000+ chipset, with 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB / 256GB of UFS 2.1 memory. The battery will have a capacity of 4.000mAh and will support 66W fast charging.
