A few days ago we discovered that Huawei's sub-brand, Honor, was sold to an external company, effectively becoming an independent brand.
Therefore, the new smartphones that will be launched after that date will be really worth keeping an eye on. In any case, although independent, the brand should still keep the same roadmap, releasing the "V" series dedicated to the online market in the coming weeks.
Honor V40 Pro may no longer adopt the Kirin 9000
The next scheduled series will be called Honor V40 and we have previously learned that the more premium version will be equipped with a Kirin 9000 as a CPU.
Well, apparently this will no longer be the case according to a Chinese blogger. Tal Digital Chat Station has in fact revealed that the Honor V40 will not integrate the Kirin 9000.
If the news were true, this means that the entire Honor V40 series will be equipped with MediaTek processors. Specifically we could see the performant MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ or MediaTek's 6nm chip looking close to launch.
As for why the Kirin 9000 processor was suddenly excluded, no statement has yet been provided, but it is assumed that the Kirin 9000 stocks are insufficient, again due to the feud between the United States government and the Huawei brand.
What do you think about it? Disappointed with the news or does the MediaTek chip fit you?
