It looks like Motorola is gearing up to release at least a couple of new smartphones within the next month. We are talking about Motorola G Pure e Moto E40, which have already popped up in extensive leaks, and in these hours they are showing up in the first images leaked prior to their launch. Let's find out more details.
Moto G Pure will be the high-end model
Let's start with the Motorola Moto G Pure, which is the high-beam device. We already have a pretty good idea of its spec sheet, as well as a full set of detailed renders. Evan Blass simply offers another look at the phone, in what appears to be an official poster. It reaffirms what we already know about the overall design of the phone, with the exception of some writing on the side of the camera island, which we were not previously aware of. Here is the image:
The Moto G Pure is expected to use the chipset Helio G25: perhaps the P22, with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage in the basic configuration. As for the cameras, it will likely have one 48MP main snapper and a 2MP depth sensor on the back, with a 5MP selfie on the front. The latter appears to be housed within a teardrop notch.
There are also rumors of a battery from 4.000 mAh, with 10W of charging, mounted inside a fairly thick body of 10,1mm, presumably made of a premium aluminum frame, albeit most likely with a plastic back. Other specs include USB Type-C and a 3,5mm jack. The Moto G Pure is expected to be unveiled in the second week of October, priced in the $ 300- $ 350 range.
Motorola Moto E40 will be the budget alternative
The Moto E40 is an even cheaper offer. It is said to be a slightly updated version of the recently announced Moto E20. Thanks to a new leak, we can now enjoy a large rendering set of the E40. Starting with an image that focuses on the back of the device:
Not that there's really anything particularly noteworthy about the way the E40 looks. Still, it's meant to be a budget offer that uses a chipset Unisoc T700, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, plus the lightweight Android 11 Go edition with reference to the operating system. As for the cameras, it has one 48MP main sensor, plus a 2MP depth sensor and a third 2MP macro camera. The display is said to be a IPS panel from 6,5 inch, with 90 Hz refresh rate.
The Moto E40 is said to have a plastic body, measuring 165,08 x 75,64 x 9,14mm and weighing 198 grams. It also integrates a 4.000 mAh, with 10W of charging. Also worth mentioning is the IP52 certification, the 3,5 mm audio jack and a button dedicated to Google Assistant. The price should be less than 200 euros.
