Vivo's sub-brand, iQOO, has just held a press conference in which it officially launched the new iQOO 7 flagship, with a starting price of only 3798 yuan, about 480 euros at the exchange rate.

Since the strong point of this device is performance, let's start with the "trio of wonders", namely Snapdragon 888, an improved version of LPDDR5 RAM and an improved version of the internal memory UFS 3.1.
Specifically, the iQOO 7 adopts Qualcomm's next-generation chipset, the Snapdragon 888, which uses a more advanced 5nm manufacturing process with a combination of 1 super core, 3 large and 4 small cores. Compared to Snapdragon 865, CPU performance increased by 25%, GPU performance increased by 35%, ISP performance increased by up to 35%, and AI computing power performance increased by up to 73% .
Moving on to RAM, the iQOO 7 comes with a version of Samsung's LPDDR5 with a theoretical speed of 6400 Mbps, which is 16,3% faster than the previous generation LPDDR5 and the sequential read speed is up to 13,2% in more.
Finally, still talking about performance, the smartphone uses a new high-speed V6 UFS 3.1 memory chip from Samsung, with faster read and write speeds. Compared to the previous generation V5 UFS 3.1, the sequential read speed increased by 6,4%, the sequential write speed increased by 5,89%, and the random write speed increased by 17,3%.
All of this hardware also needs a cooling system to perform at its best. So the iQOO 7 is equipped with a 4K level power pump for liquid cooling. It adopts 4096mm super absorbent plate and the total heat dissipation area is up to 17733mm. The brand claimed that this is the largest heat dissipation area in the history of iQOO products. Compared to traditional products, the body surface temperature of the iQOO 7 is lowered by 1,5 degrees and the CPU temperature is lowered by 2 degrees.
Another of the strengths of the smartphone is the 120W ultra-fast flash charging. We have a 4000mAh capacity battery with support for 120W FlashCharge flash charging technology. Official data shows that the battery can be recharged at the 50% in only 5 minutes, while to reach 100% it takes 15 minutes (the power is decreased to not damage the battery).
As for the other special features, the iQOO 7 adopts Monster Touch technology to transform the pressure on the display into an additional button, a bit like Force Touch on the iPhones of a few years ago. This allows us to simulate additional buttons, a very useful feature especially for those who play on their smartphone.
Always to improve the gaming experience, the device also has two linear Z axis motors positioned on the left and right sides (if placed in landscape mode) so as to collaborate with the Monster Touch pressure technology for a more realistic feeling ( vibrate when the push buttons are pressed).
In terms of looks, the iQOO 7 features a 6,62-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 and a 91,4% screen-to-body ratio. It supports 120Hz refresh rate and supports global adaptive refresh rate technology. The screen refresh rate can range from 120Hz to 60Hz with intelligent dynamic switching. It also supports playback of high dynamic range video content HDR has obtained HDR10 + certification.
The design on the back of the fuselage is more concise and is available in three colors: Black, Blue and Legendary Edition (white with BMW stripes).
From the point of view of photography, the iQOO 7 is equipped with three cameras with 48MP main, 13MP ultra wide secondary and a third 13MP for portraits. In addition, the main camera has OIS and supports the new RAW HDR 2.0 technology, to optimize scenes in low light conditions.
Finally, the iQOO 7 will be the brand's first device with the OriginOS operating system and has a starting price of 3798 yuan (480 €) for the 8GB / 128GB version and 4198 yuan for the one with 12GB / 256GB (530 €).
