With the iQOO 8 series launched in August, in China we are already starting to talk about the next iQOO 9 series. In particular, it is thought that the iQOO 9 series could debut in China by January 2022.
iQOO 9 certified by IMEI: possible launch in January 2022
Well, today, ahead of the launch, the iQOO 9 series of smartphones got caught on a certification site. After seeing the Indian variant of the iQOO 9 Pro with model number I2022 in the IMEI database earlier this month, it is now the turn of the basic iQOO 9, which also appeared in the IMEI database with model number V2171A. In this case it is not the Indian model, but a variant that will go on sale in China and other countries.
Unfortunately, there is currently no information on the specs of the iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro. But we do know that the iQOO 7 is powered by the Snapdragon 888 chip which was announced in January of this year. Hence, the iQOO 9 series is likely to feature the next generation Snapdragon 8 series flagship chipset.
Recall that the latest iQOO 8 comes with a 6,56-inch FHD + AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 888 and a 4350mAh battery, while the 8 Pro has a 6,7-inch QHD + AMOLED LTPO screen, Snapdragon 888 Plus and a 4.500 mAh battery. Both smartphones offer features like the 16 megapixel front camera and 120W fast charging support.
