Last night, Vivo's sub brand, iQOO, released two new models, the iQOO Neo5S and the iQOO Neo5 SE. Well, today iQOO's next flagship series, iQOO9, was showcased online in China.
iQOO 9 coming in January: here are the first known specifications
According to the revelations of the Chinese blogger Digital Chat Station, the design of the iQOO9 will be the same as that of the previous generation. The Pro version will come with a 6,78-inch curved screen with a 2K resolution and a high refresh rate, while the standard version will come with a 6,78-inch FHD + screen. These are 2D displays and both will use Samsung E5 diamond matrix luminescent material.
Also, the release time for this device has been set for January, so we're only talking about five months from the release date of the previous model, the iQOO8. As this is a high-end product, we are dealing with a faster-than-normal update cycle.
In any case, in addition to the information on the screen specs, the two phones can be expected to arrive with a higher-end processor as well and given that MediaTek's Dimensity 9000 will not ship in large quantities until February, we can already give for assume that all the devices of the iQOO9 series will be equipped with the new generation of Qualcomm chip, or the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
