Inside the sales package there is the cable power supply kit consisting of 4 lithium batteries, battery charger with micro USB connector, approx. 150 cm long cable and relative power supply. The camera is supplied with support from the wall, kit of screws with plugs, spare ring gasket, rubber plug to cover the microsd slot and paper manuals.

The camera it has a cylindrical design and rather pleasing to the eye, the external coating is in slightly satin white polycarbonate, also pleasant to the touch. The length is 135 mm including the wall bracket while the diameter is 68 mm. Inside there is a sensor 1 / 2,7 "CMOS with a wide-angle lens with maximum aperture F1.8 able to return good quality images even at night recorded in resolution 1080p to 20fps. The connection is entrusted to a card wi-fi b / g / n 2,4Ghz without external antennas, at the bottom it has a slot for memory cards in Microsd with a maximum capacity of 64GB and on the front under the lens there is a PIR sensor very efficient. First we have to charge the batteries: very simple but fundamental operation before starting everything; a full charge ensures a autonomy of 3/4 months. After this phase. the batteries are inserted inside the camera by unscrewing the front part of the camera from the body of the barrel, which is removed and contains the housing for the batteries. Once reassembled you can proceed with fixing. Also in this case it is very simple, just connect the round metal support to the wall and insert the camera base with a small clockwise rotation. Once oriented in the desired direction, just screw the base firmly to the support to prevent unwanted movements. For the configuration instead just add it in the app Yi Home and, once identified, select the wifi network to connect to and show the QR Code shown on the display to the camera and that's it.
Motion detection is very precise and is notified with a 6-second video clip, while to access the recording you need to insert a memory card or, better still, sign up for a subscription to the cloud. In the camera configuration it is possible to set all the parameters such as the degree of sensitivity of the detection, the distortion of the lens and send audio messages from your smartphone. There is also no lack of compatibility with voice assistants with a menu specifically dedicated to integration with Echo Show devices.

This camera definitively solves the age-old problem of installation as, thanks to the adoption of long-lasting batteries, it can be placed almost anywhere. The PIR detection system has proven to be accurate and reliable and performs much better than the cameras of the same brand not using this technology. In addition, the images are of good quality even in the dark and in high resolution. The transmission buffer is not among the fastest and perhaps, given the market range, a free or very cheap cloud plan would have been much appreciated.
