At CES 2020 held earlier this year, Lenovo announced the Yoga 5G 2-in-1 convertible laptop. This laptop came with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx as CPU, a high-end ARM-based SoC from Qualcomm designed for PC “Always On, Always Connected "(ACPC).
Lenovo Flex 5G announced in the US, arriving in Italy later this year
The Lenovo Yoga 5G runs Microsoft Windows 10 on ARM, just like the Microsoft Surface Pro X and the Samsung Galaxy Book S. Unlike the Surface Pro X and Galaxy Book S though, the Yoga 5G will support 5G NR connectivity.
Well, today Lenovo announced that it has partnered with Verizon to bring Yoga 5G to the United States under the name "Lenovo Flex 5G". The Verizon version of this laptop is designed to support the Ultra Wideband mmWave 5G NR network in addition to the 5G sub-6GHz networks.
In addition to 5G technology, the Lenovo Flex 5G is a very attractive laptop with an elegant design, 360 degree hinge and touchscreen. It only weighs 1,34Kg and has a 1080-inch 14p display with very thin bezels on three sides. The Flex 5G comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of integrated memory. In terms of ports, we find two USB-C 3.1 ports, a headphone / microphone combo port and a nano-SIM slot. The battery has a rated power of 60 Wh which should last up to 24 hours. Finally, there is also a fingerprint scanner for biometric security.
The Lenovo Flex 5G will be available in the United States from June 18 at Verizon for $ 1399 (€ 1244). The laptop is expected to arrive in our country later this year.
