Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone back in the limelight, launch in July?
Well, today, according to the Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station, the smartphone is expected to launch in July. But even more exciting news is that it claims the gaming phone will perform better than all other phones with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 on board.
The tipster hypothesizes that the device will use a Plus variant of the Snapdragon 865 SoC or that the increase in performance will result from a better cooling system. This is because according to previous reports, Qualcomm will not release a Plus version this year, so it is more likely to be the second.
The Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone should therefore come with a large heat sink and an active cooling fan. Obviously the cooling system is very important in today's smartphones equipped with CPU and GPU with high clock, so we believe it can really make a difference, even in relatively short tests such as synthetic benchmarks.
