LG Virtoo: the mirroring service on Microsoft also comes for the brand

LG will be given to mirroring, but in reality it is not really YOU who will. Collaboration between phone companies and Microsoft is always a good thing as it allows you to bring what's on your mobile device directly to your PC. A similar thing, albeit with different limitations, Xiaomi also did it recently thanks to MIUI +. It is to all intents and purposes a "streaming on PC". According to a Twitter account, soon the Korean company will also be able to do the same thing.

Thanks to LG Virtoo we will be able to transmit everything we do on the smartphone even on a PC with Windows 10

Although your phone's Windows support many phones Android, some of the best features are exclusive to only a few high-end models. LG has also decided to go on its own, regardless of Microsoft's direct cooperation. Despite the name, Virtoo is not directly developed by the Korean company but by Screenovate, the same developer that created Dell Mobile Connect which offered similar functionality.

Twitter user Lumia Updates (Italian) piqued our attention with a screenshot showing the Virtoo's ability to stream the functionality of a smartphone to a PC running Windows 10. In addition to the usual messages and notifications, however, icons are shown for apps that you can run on your PC. All this clearly without the need to use a cable, via wireless. According to what the company revealed, it is a progressive web app or PWA. This most likely means that you won't need to have an app on your smartphone to use the service, but everything will be via the web.

One of the points in favor of this type of PWA service is that the apps are exposed on HTTPS protocol to prevent the connection from exposing information or the contents from being altered. Unfortunately, however, support for the offline service may be missing.
