MediaTek will lead the chip market this year

Until a couple of years ago, MediaTek has struggled to maintain its position and gain respect in the market due to the poor performance of its flagship chips. The forecast says the Asian giant will take the 37% of the global chip market, but Qualcomm will remain the leader in the 5G segment despite the other is investing heavily in the sector. As for the 5G segment, Qualcomm could recover by the second half of 2021. According to the report, almost 9 out of 10 smartphones will be equipped with SoCs from Qualcomm, Apple or MediaTek. These companies will leave competitors behind, including Samsung and Exynos.
