This time, however, we are talking about a medium range that will clash directly with the Snapdragon 7 series. It is called MediaTek Dimensity 1300 the new processor and the brand launched it a few days ago. Let's see its architecture in detail and try to guess which smartphones will integrate it.

MediaTek has introduced a new processor for Android devices called Dimensity 1300. It positions itself as a mid-range performance smartphone solution and boasts both high processing power and advanced multimedia capabilities. The SoC architecture, built using the technology of process to 6 nm, includes a large Cortex-A78 Ultra core with automatic overclocking up to 3.0 GHz, three Cortex-A78s with a frequency of up to 2.6 GHz and four energy-saving Cortex-A55s (up to 2.0 GHz).
The graphics accelerator ARM Mali-G77 MC9 is responsible for the multimedia capabilities of the chip. MediaTek Dimensity 1300 supports camera sensors up to 200 megapixels and AI-assisted low-light enhancement technology. In addition, the ability to register is announced 4K video and hardware support for the AV1 codec for streaming playback, as well as the HDR10 + standard.
Smartphones based on the new processor will have up to 16 GB of RAM LPDDR4X (up to 4266 Mbps), UFS 3.1 drive and display with a resolution of 2520 x 1080 e refresh rate up to 168 Hz. Another feature of the chip was the support for two SIM cards of the 5G standard. The first devices based on the new processor should be the smartphones of the series OnePlus North 2T e Redmi Note 12, which is expected to be released in the second quarter of 2022.
