A while ago we said that Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 is better than Apple A15 Bionic. Well, apparently we need to verify this information following new data. MediaTek Dimensity 9000 is preparing for a single battle with the best chipsets in circulation. We say this following a benchmarking su Geekbench disclosed by a well-known Chinese informant, Ice Universe. Looking at the numbers, we can say that the MediaTek smartphone SoC is going to blow.
All waiting for Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, but the real king of this year will be MediaTek Dimensity 9000: the benchmarks on Geekbench speak for themselves
Announced in November 2021, the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 it is the most powerful chip from MediaTek ever. It is based on pTSMC 4 nm process, which apparently gives it an edge over the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and the Samsung Exynos 2200. These are both based on Samsung's 4nm process. It also uses the new one v9 architecture of Arm. We haven't seen any smartphones powered by the Dimensity 9000 yet but Oppo Find X5 Pro Dimension Edition e Redmi K50 Pro Plus they will be powered by the SoC.
To give us an idea of the chip's performance, Ice Universe shared his scores Geekbench. Apparently this is a Xiaomi device, probably the Redmi K50 Pro Plus, and he managed to get it 1.309 points in the single-core test e 4.546 points in the multi-core test.

For comparison, the Galaxy s22 ultra with Exynos 2200 processor scored 1.157 and 3.307 points in single-core and multi-core tests respectively. Pixel 6Pro powered by Google Tensor scored 1.042 and 2.832 points in the same test. The only chip still ahead of the Dimensity 9000 is theA15 Bionic from Apple. The iPhone 13 Pro Max, which sports the chip, achieved 1.734 and 4.818 in single and multi-core tests, respectively.
Ice Universe has hinted that the Dimensity 9000 they will cost around $ 500, which would make them much more affordable than most of the top 2022 Android phones around.
