The new CPUs are both 8 cores but there is no big.LITTLE configuration. The eight cores are Cortex A53 type at two different clock speeds: 2,3 GHz for the higher-end G35 and 2 GHz for the G25. Both include an IMG PowerVR GE8320 GPU at slightly different clock speeds (680 MHz for the G35, 650 MHz for the G25) and support for eMMC 5.1 storage, dual band Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5. While the production is at 12 nanometers.

There are also other differences such as the maximum display resolution: the G35 supports up to "Full HD +" 2400 × 1080, while the G25 can reach 1600 × 720. The G35 can also use a higher resolution primary camera (25 MP vs 21 MP) and the G35 can support extra camera features such as software-simulated bokeh. Both share support for multi-camera configurations up to 13MP + 8MP.

As for connectivity, 5G is not present. Both chipsets have "WorldMode" LTE modems with dual SIM and VoLTE / ViLTE support.

Finally, MediaTek says that these chips will arrive on major brand smartphones in the coming months. Having said that, we have already seen i Redmi 9A and Redmi 9C, as well as the Realme C11, all equipped with MediaTek Helio G25 and G35.
