Meizu 17 Pro will count on a new generation 3D depth sensor

The news about it continues with the dropper Meizu 17 e 17 Pro. After seeing what we will find under the hood of the standard version, today we get news about the photographic sector of the Meizu 17 Pro. As we know, both he and the basic model will be equipped with a horizontal module with four sensors. But if so far we thought that one of these sensors was a simple one depth of field sensor, now we have evidence suggesting more. This evidence comes, as usual, from an official teaser.

The 3D depth of field sensor of Meizu 17 Pro could be a LIDAR like that of iPad Pro

In the official poster posted this morning by the brand itself on Weibo, we can see a detail of two of the four modules that will interest Meizu 17 Pro. Those we observe in the image are, from the left, a flash rings it's a depth sensor. We already know the first one, Meizu classic, while the second one is new and presents itself yellow color

meizu 17 pro lidar depth sensor

Although the company has not specified anything about it, the data we have suggests that it is a 3D field proximity sensor with Lidar technology, just like the one you find on iPad Pro 12.9 ". But what is Lidar technology?

The acronym stands for Laser Imaging Detection and Ranging and is to identify a technology of distance detection by laser pulses. Unlike radar, which uses light, Lidar uses ultraviolet wavelengths that make it possible localization of very small objects. You will also come to our own conclusion: in a situation where there are photographs to be taken with particular details to be captured, Meizu 17 Pro will probably be unrivaled. The visual peculiarity of this sensor is the yellow color you see in the photo.

Without a doubt all these perks of the 17 Pro (we also remember the wireless charging announced a few days ago) will do raise the price and not of poco
