This year it seems that the various mobile OEMs are also focusing their efforts in related sectors, such as wearable where we find smartwatches, handyman wristwatches that maintain the tech connection with the user even when not in great demand. can directly use their smartphone. Among the brands interested in the production of smartwatches we also find Meizu, which in a very explicit way has published a teaser announcing the arrival of its first smart wearable equipped with its own operating system, namely Flyme for Watch.
Meizu announces the arrival of its first smartwatch
The company in the past has also expressed its interest in the home automation sector and considering the recent announcement, which on balance does not see any launch of additional smartphones for the remaining 2020, it is plausible to think that this time will be used to carry on these projects, including the development of the Flyme for Watch, the OS interface that has accompanied the Meizu brand smartphones for eight years.
But just as happened on behalf of other brands, such as Xiaomi, the new UI will be exclusive to the wearables that Meizu will propose in the future. Unfortunately, the presentation will not be imminent, as the company seems to have made an appointment at Q4 in 2020 as you can see in the image above, where, however, we also see the profile of a smartphone as well as that of a smartwatch. From here we can extrapolate two indiscretions: the first is that probably the Meizu smartwatch will come with a square design and the other is that perhaps the company could go back on the word and propose a new smartphone together with its smartwatch. Only time will give us the right answers.
