Assuming that the patents, once filed, it is not sure that they are actually used, Meizu with the latest published it has given us a clear sign. She too has decided to throw herself into the world of foldables, or of the folding smartphones. Numerous brands are focusing on this category of products. In our network, the last one we saw was of Xiaomi. Until now Meizu has never spoken openly about its own folding smartphone but perhaps the time has come, also considering that the competition is fierce.
Here is the patent of the possible Meizu folding smartphone: the designs do not appear in the sketches, but only the technology
Unfortunately, no images are covered in this patent and Meizu only shows us how the device can bend. According to when we can read about the end taken from China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), the construction of the device will be very similar to that of competitors.
The center of the device will be "rubber band”In the sense that it will allow you to fold the two wings. Unlike other devices, however, it seems that this will have an opening to Z: probably the central part is more "mobile" than those we already know.
The display will clearly be covered with some sort of filma plastic film which will protect it from accidental scratches and cracks. We know that in reality, there is no real folding glass.
Clearly it is too early to talk about prices and dates, but we can try to guess. Considering that next year will be decisive for the sale of this type of device, presumably Meizu will be able to reveal it between the end of the 2020 and the beginning of the 2021. As for the price it is easy that exceed € 1000. If not ... then best buy!
