As we all know, the Mobvoi brand is typically dedicated to the production of smart wearables, such as smartwatches and TWS headphones, but these are not the only two sectors it relies on. In fact, the company also works in the field of AI (artificial intelligence) and apparently, starting today, also that of smart lighting.

We therefore welcome the new Mobvoi Cololight, hexagonal lamps that can be joined together to form different shapes. The Cololights come in two different kits, 3 and 6 pieces, with the second also including a cylindrical base in faux marble. Obviously with the second kit it will be possible to create a greater number of figures and therefore we will be able to indulge ourselves much more. In any case, the lights can then be mounted on the base or directly on the wall thanks to the accessories that we find supplied.
As for the features instead, we have a total of 16 million colors with the ability to interact remotely from the smartphone, choosing the colors or an animation. Alternatively it is possible to link colors and intensity to a sound; such as a song. Mobvoi also states that there are three preset modes, one that changes colors according to some artistic background, one that changes colors following a dynamic wallpaper album, and one that lets us choose the different colors to reproduce.
In terms of size, these smart lamps are 30,5mm thick, 86mm wide and 74,5mm high. Together with the hexagonal lamps then come the connectors that are used to connect them together, the controller to precisely control everything through the app or Google Assistant and the different bases mentioned above.
Finally, the Cololights need a 5V / 2A input, they can operate at temperatures ranging from -5 to 46 degrees centigrade and the dedicated app is compatible with both Android and Apple devices.
