Mobvoi remembers the Tanabata festival with new watch faces

Mobvoi never forgets the holidays (at least the Chinese ones) and even today it is keen to do so with new watch faces. The celebration is called Tanabata and it is a traditional Japanese festival derived from the equivalent Chinese festival of Qīxī.

In particular it celebrates the reunion of the divinities Orihime and Hikoboshi, representing the stars Vega and Altair. According to the legend, the two lovers were separated by the Milky Way, meeting only once a year, on the seventh day of the seventh lunar month of the lunisolar calendar (Wiki).

Put simply, it's the equivalent of our Valentine's Day party.

Mobvoi remembers the Tanabata festival with new watch faces

As we said previously, to celebrate this anniversary, the "curator" of the "art museum" of the smartwatch brand presented different watch faces, both for couples and singles.

Exhibition 1-4 Couples and love

Let's start with the first four watch faces that we can in the images above and below. These are dedicated to couples and serve to show your love for your partner.

Mobvoi also suggests using the different watch faces for men and women in conjunction with matching clothes or shoes for a more tender couple look during the holiday.

Exhibition 4-5 Single Dogs

Watch faces 4 and 5 are dedicated to "single dogs" (term used by the Chinese brand). These "works of art" can be used by singles looking for a partner.

In fact, the very little dog we see in the images says something about being single, so it could be a great tool for the more timid who otherwise wouldn't say it clearly.

All the watch faces seen above are part of the "Art Museum”Vol.4, are available on the Mobvoi store and can be downloaded for both TicWear and Wear OS. Just go to the store and click on the lemon icon to find them.

What can I say, good Tanabata to anyone who celebrates it around the world!
