Motorola does not enjoy a very good reputation for several reasons. On the one hand, it does not offer smartphones with a particularly exciting design; on the other hand it is always a bit behind the times. As proof of this, the new device that has just been previewed by Evan Blass, one of the major leakers on the square. Through Voice, the well-known portal where he and many others usually publish interesting exclusives. The one we are going to see today is particularly succulent as it shows the first Moto G powered by a top-of-the-range processor.
No Snapdragon 888 for this Moto G, but "only" Snapdragon 865: this is how Motorola's accessible flagship should be
In general one of the characteristics of the Moto G series is that it is accessible. Prices are never too high and that's good. But this time it might be different. Personally I believe that Motorola has chosen a processor that is “out of fashion” considering the imminent release of Snapdragon 888, for one reason in particular: the Snapdragon 865 price will drop and with this also that of the device. And the performance? They will stay high for at least another year.
As for the design instead, Evan Blass shows us only the front panel. This one is characterized by thin but not too thin edges: at the bottom the chin shows up and how. The peculiarity, however, lies in the photographic sector: one dual camera punch hole (therefore with hole without notch) with well separated optics. The choice is somewhat bizarre.
In any case the code name of this device is Motorola nio. As for the hardware equipment, it seems to have at least 8GB of RAM, up to 256GB of storage and a battery from 5.000 mAh. Android 11 will be active from day one. The screen is presumably a 6.7 "panel with 90 Hz refresh rate and Full HD + resolution. On the back there will be a main camera from 64 megapixel, an ultrawide from 16 megapixel and one from 2 megapixel depth sensor type. The front duo will include a 8 megapixels and a 16 megapixel ultrawide.
