Today was a very busy day for Realme. The OPPO sub-brand presented two of its new devices in China, that is Realme GT Neo 2T e really Q3s. These are two mid-ranges, a real novelty with reference to the Chinese brand's catalog. Let's find out more details on the technical characteristics, availability and price of both smartphones.
Realme GT Neo 2T: a OnePlus style variant
The first news we analyze is Realme GT Neo 2T, which comes out about a month after the reference model GT Neo 2. The Chinese brand has chosen to add a OnePlus-style variant to the basic version: the "cousin" company used to take its annual top of the range, to propose it again in variant T. Let's think for example of OnePlus 8 and 8T, while more recently OnePlus 9R and 9RT.
However, it takes its cue from those smartphones only at the branding level, because in reality the Realme GT Neo 2T is a more low-cost model, aimed at a cheaper target. Compared to Realme GT Neo 2 the first difference lies in the size, since it comes first with a display from 6,43 FHD + AMOLED with update frequency a 120 Hz. The panel is punch-hole and houses the selfie camera.
Realme GT Neo 2T has a thickness of 8,4 mm and a weight of 186 g, it integrates an optical ID sensor placed under the screen. Continuing with the distinctions, the performance also differs at the hardware level: it does not have the Snapdragon 870, but it is equipped with a processor MediaTek Dimension 1200-AI (same as OnePlus Nord 2). This chip has a 3,05 GHz octa-core CPU, Mali-G77 MC9 GPU and combines memory cuts from 8/12 GB of RAM and 128/256 GB of non-expandable internal storage.
As for its autonomy, it can count on a battery from 4500 mAh and on a 65W SuperDart charge. The photographic sector is identical to the basic version: 64 + 8 + 2 MP with wide angle and macro, and there is the 16 MP selfie camera. There are also stereo speakers. Addition to mention: there is themini-jack input for similar headphones.
Price chapter: Realme GT Neo 2T is available in Jet Black and Glaze White colors, but for the moment only in India and China at the starting price of 281 € at the current exchange rate.
Realme Q3S is another mid-range with Snapdragon 778G
The second device presented today is Realme Q3S, another mid-range smartphone with 6,6 ″ FHD + LCD display with 144Hz refresh rate. This last feature is very relevant, since it is the highest seen so far on a Realme device (there are none in the catalog with these values).
The processor also changes: mount a Snapdragon 778G chip, paired with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of internal storage. It also integrates HDR10 certification, but not the fingerprint scanner underneath the panel. The battery is from 5000 mAh and features 30W fast charging. On board is the Android 11 operating system with UI (aka the Realme interface).
In terms of connectivity, we have 5G SA / NSA, Dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, GPS / Beidou / Glonass / QZSS / Galileo, NFC, USB Type-C. Also the 3,5 mm audio jack input.
As for the price, Realme Q3S was announced in Nebula and Blue single-digit colors starting from approximately EUR 210 for the basic variant. Both Realme GT Neo 2T and Realme Q3S will be available starting October 20 at home, while we are waiting to see if they will arrive here in Italy.
