Already before the expected date of the announcement, it was learned that the future flagship of OnePlus will lose the switch to change ringtones and volume, called alert slider. This information has already been confirmed by the manufacturer himself: as it turned out, the engineers had to take such a step not for the desire to reduce the cost of the smartphone.
In an interview with The Verge, OnePlus designer Hope Liu said that the rejection of the component that has become the brand's hallmark was due to the need to free up space inside the case. According to her, i 30 mm2 "extra" enabled the company to place high-powered power path components, a high-capacity battery and 15 antennas to improve communication quality without increasing the size of the device itself.
While the slider appears to be a very small component, it actually has a relatively large impact on the device's motherboard footprint. If we kept it, we would have to bend the motherboard, which would make the device thicker
In addition, Liu confirmed that the OnePlus 10T camera module will not receive the Hasselblad branding. According to her, this allowed the seller to reduce the price of the smartphone without losing the quality of the photos. The OnePlus 10T rear module will include a Sony IMX766 sensor from 50 megapixel with support for 10-bit color depth, HDR and night mode. Among the other features of the model, it has identified a double recharging “pump” for the battery.
The OnePlus 10T announcement is scheduled for August 3th, the price of the smartphone has not yet been announced.

The cameras, predictably, would be a bit more modest than those of the OnePlus 10 Pro, with a 50 megapixel, a wide angle from 16 megapixel and a macro sensor from 2 megapixel.
