OnePlus 8T finally passes into the hands of DxOmark, the well-known platform that deals with the testing of photographic qualities (and not only) of smartphones. Industry experts had initially analyzed the of the smartphone, classifying it as one of the best on the square. However, the time has come to see how he is doing photographically and the result, we admit, is not exceptional. Once again the brand has failed to outdo itself. It will do this with OnePlus 9? Yes, without a doubt… in fact we believe that this evaluation arrived very, very late. But having said that, let's briefly see what they tell us.

OnePlus 8T ranks 111th with 47 points: the result is not what we hoped for but in the end it is not even a camera phone

The result is not what was hoped for but the company has not produced this smartphone for photographic qualities. Clearly the strengths of OnePlus 8T are others. Last night, the DxOMark lab released the smartphone main camera review it was rated with 111 points. This allowed the smartphone to conquer only the 47th place in the standings, behind not only OnePlus 8, but also OnePlus 7 Pro. The previous top of the range is in fact higher in the standings with 114 points.

We are not lovers of scores, nor referring to the DxOMark rankings nor AnTuTu and Geekbench, but nevertheless these data always confirm the opinions of users. In fact, from the feedback we receive, OnePlus 8T is definitely lacking compared to competitors from a photographic point of view. According to DxOMark:

The main camera module is capable of capturing decent images and video clips as long as you are not in low light conditions. The lack of a dedicated TV camera means it's best to stick to a small zoom to avoid missing too much detail. The ultra wide-angle camera isn't bad, but the image noise and artifacts mean it won't be suitable for image quality perfectionists. The video has good stabilization, but suffers from sudden changes in focus.

Previously, the CEO of OnePlus confirmed that the company stands investing enormous resources to improve the cameras of its smartphones. Recently it became known that the Hasselblad specialists are involved in the creation of the OnePlus 9 camera.
