DxOMark evaluates the OnePlus 9 Pro screen that smashes, or almost

Some time ago Pete Lau lit one discussion on Weibo in reference to the evaluation of DxOMark. After several details emerged that saw Oppo as the protagonist, cousin of OnePlus but to which it seems to have joined, the company's CEO had said that the new 9-series device would not be sent for testing. However, it seems that OnePlus 9 Pro is out of this story and in fact here are the industry experts they rated its own display. Criticism aside, how will the device behave? Admirably!

OnePlus 9 Pro is evaluated by DxOMark, but this time the protagonist is the screen and not the cameras: here is the verdict of the experts

Right after testing the OnePlus 9 Pro's main camera, DxOMark took a look at the smartphone screen. The lab specialists decided to find out how true the manufacturer's claim is that the device's screen is "the pinnacle of mobile displays with lifelike detail". The display AMOLED from 6.7 " of OnePlus 9 Pro, which received a resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, impressed the experts. They noted excellent and accurate color reproduction, as well as comfortable readability in low light conditions.

As for the rest of the display evaluation parameters, which are included in the study protocol, the smartphone showed different results. So, in the category video, the OnePlus 9 Pro screen features a reduced brightness, especially when viewing HDR10 video content. At the same time, i colors are natural, but not saturated.

The flagship's screen is fluid in a variety of typical cases, including gaming, web browsing, and various applications. Also, the pros include touch control accuracy and good adaptability - OnePlus 9 Pro responds quickly to changes in lighting, but there is a slight delay during the transition. The disadvantages of the smartphone screen are its own insufficient brightness in direct sunlight and dark details poco distinguishable even in the shade. It also loses some brightness when holding the device at an angle.

Conclusion: the smartphone scored 89 points and won the third place in the overall ranking of smartphones after Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G and Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G.
