The flagship smartphone was presented yesterday OnePlus 10T and, as it turned out, the rumors about the lack of the iconic slider of the silent mode of the series proved to be true. Not all fans of the brand appreciated this decision, so the company did not delay with a note about the future fate of the component. The question therefore is:Will alert slider return to OnePlus smartphones or not? Here is the official answer.

The OnePlus alert slider, which made smartphones closer to iPhones in terms of usability, will it return or not? The company tells us

Answering a question from reporters before the presentation of the OnePlus 10T, a representative of the company said which was too early to clear the famous slider. According to him, the decision to remove this element from the new smartphone was difficult, but it took up too much space in the design of the device. However, the brand is considering the possibility of returning this part to the series.

This is not a final goodbye to the slider. We are working hard to bring it back in the future

A OnePlus spokesperson also suggested that the slider may return as a software element rather than hardware. However, it did not provide reporters with any details on the implementation of this decision. It is not yet known whether the next OnePlus smartphone will be equipped with the iconic component. Of course there is one thing: smartphones are getting thinner and thinner but they need to increasingly larger batteries. Somewhere the space must be found and it is obvious that one goes to "saw" on the "less useful" features.
