Fans of the OnePlus brand winked at a little heart when they saw the first renderings of the brand's wearable solution, the OnePlus Watch, a field in which the Chinese OEM has not yet said its as many competitors have. But now new news arrives that will make fanboys happy, or the announcement that the wearable future will come with Google's WearOS operating system, as was expected considering that right on the Big G's stock interface, OnePlus has built their own fortune.

So after fearing an operating system other than WearOS would be adopted, the company's CEO, Pete Lau, reassured everyone even as he stressed the difficulty of working with WearOS on his next smartwatch.
WearOS certainly has room for improvement. What we are trying to do is work with Google to try to improve the connectivity between the WearOS ecosystem and Android and Android TV smartphones to create better interoperability of devices across all ecosystems. This was a very positive thing from Google as well, so this is the direction we are trying to develop, but at the moment we don't have much to share.
So far there aren't many details on how the OnePlus watch will offer a different integration from other companies' smartwatches, also based on WearOS, but from what transpires from the words of Pete Lau, the interaction with the Google ecosystem will be at the maximum levels, a bit like with Apple Watch and the various products of the American brand.
