Even if we don't have an official launch date, prices or confirmed specifications yet, OnePlus has now confirmed that its next smartphone will actually be called OnePlus Nord.

The next mid-range smartphone from OnePlus should equip the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G 5G chipset, supported by at least 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. We will also find a quad-camera configuration in the rear and a dual front camera.
All this had been assumed for quite some time but with the approach of the official presentation, the company decided to anticipate some information on the official Instagram account of OnePlus Nord. OnePlus has indeed published the first episode of a series of mini documentaries entitled New Beginnings. The almost 10-minute episode even gives us an idea of some prototypes of OnePlus Nord devices, although it is not clear whether they represent the official design.
Obviously, the company let out the name "North" earlier last week with an Instagram post now removed, but as is customary, confirmation has been forthcoming.
OnePlus has also confirmed that the OnePlus North will officially arrive in the US in a "highly limited beta program" poco after launch. While it will arrive much earlier in Europe and India, it is already possible to book it on official site.
