It is said that OnePlus is working on its first smartwatch. At the moment all wearable devices (or almost) top of the range such as Oppo watch mount the operating system WearOS. This is Google's proprietary OS, what we will call on a “stock Android” smartphone. Clearly the interface is customized but having a ready-made OS means a lot in terms of release times. This statement is a bit of a bolt from the blue given the good blood that flows between the two companies. Generally, companies that cannot (or do not know) produce their own OS for wearables rely on a ready made operating system like that of Google. evidently OnePlus Watch wants to prove that the company is capable of going strong on its legs.

We are very curious to know what OnePlus has in mind: an operating system that comes close to WearOS but with OxygenOS skin for smartwatches it would be really interesting.
