The direct comparison with the top of the range Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is almost a must, as there are many hardware similarities offered by two devices as well as the performances given. Comparison that someone has thought well to put in black and white, because basing everything on the technical sheet it is not possible to have the real perception of who is better than who. In terms of design, these two devices are quite similar, but Find X2 Pro is available in two variants. Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is made of metal and glass. Find X2 Pro, on the other hand, is available in both ceramic and vegan leather. The ceramic variant of Find X2 Pro is 1 gram lighter than the Mi 10 Pro. These two phones are roughly the same size as the display, yet the ceramic variant of Find X2 Pro is lighter.
The Vegan Leather model is even lighter than ceramic, 7 grams, as it weighs 200 grams. Needless to say, the Vegan Leather variant of the Find X2 Pro is considerably less slippery than the Mi 10 Pro and the Find X2 Pro in glass and ceramic. Both phones have curved displays and extremely thin bezels. Both phones also include a display camera hole in the upper left corner.
The rear camera sensors are also located in the upper left corner of both devices. These camera sensors are also vertically aligned on both phones unfortunately marked by a large protrusion. In this case the winner is Find X2 Pro, just because it manages to offer more choice to the end user.
In this case, the Find X2 Pro is immediately given as winner, not because Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro has a bad display. In fact, the top of the rival range offers a 6,67-inch Full HD + AMOLED panel with 90 Hz refresh rate but OPPO Find X2 Pro raises the bar with a QHD + resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi also "limits" the touch at 180 Hz while OPPO increases it up to 240 Hz.
The display of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5, while the Find X2 Pro is equipped with the Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Both phones can display HDR10 content, but Mi 10 Pro also has HDR10 + certification. The display of the Find X2 Pro is considerably brighter, it can reach a maximum brightness of 800 nits, compared to the 500 nits of the display of the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. The OPPO device is therefore more fluid and higher quality in terms of resolution.
In terms of performance, these phones are real rockets. Both Mi 10 Pro and Find X2 Pro are equipped with the latest hardware in cycle and both enjoy excellent software optimization. Both offer a Snapdragon 865 processor, LPDDR5 type RAM and UFS 3.0 flash memory, a trio that allows you to carry out every daily activity, even going to much more complex operations.
Excellent multitasking, Web browsing, immediate app opening but above all it is in gaming that the two devices give their best without ever showing the side. There is practically no Android game that these two phones cannot handle. Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro and OPPO Find X2 Pro, they are the best you can have in terms of performance.
Both top of the range offer rather generous batteries, able to offer a range of real champions, despite the hardware they have to power. The Mi 10 Pro offers a 4.500mAh battery, while the Find X2 Pro packs a 4.260mAh unit. In this case, the “poorer” characteristics of XIaomi Mi 10 Pro also help in the final autonomy. Attention, both devices go beyond 6 hours of active screen, but Mi 10 Pro offers that little bit more that will certainly please those who use the smartphone also for gaming.
It should be emphasized, however, that Find X2 Pro offers a faster charging system than Mi 10 Pro: 65 W compared to the competitor's 50 W, but Mi 10 Pro also offers a 30 W wireless charging system as well as 5 W wireless reverse charging In this case the winner is Xiaomi's proposal.
Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro and OPPO Find X2 Pro have slightly different approaches to photography. Mi 10 Pro relies heavily on pixel binning with Samsung's 108MP ISOCELL main sensor while OPPO has opted for the brand new 48-megapixel Sony unit, IMX689.
Both devices can take beautiful photos in almost all conditions. Those who have tried both devices report that Find X2 Pro has an advantage in photography in low light conditions, but not by much. The images taken with it end up being a little brighter and sharper in low light situations. The Mi 10 Pro has a tendency to overexpose artificial lights such as street lights, although this does not happen so often and can be solved through an update. Indeed, in the last few hours Xiaomi has released a powerful upgrade dedicated to the software of the camera app that greatly improves the performance at night but above all offers spectacular photos in Moon mode.
Under normal conditions, both phones are excellent. The sharpness as well as the dynamic range but also the white balance are comparable to the best professional cameras. Wide angle cameras are fantastic on both phones, they also do a good job in low light conditions, which is surprising. Find X2 Pro succeeds better than Mi 10 Pro in the situation of shooting to distant objects, thanks to its periscopic camera. This is only valid with good lighting. Front cameras are really good on both phones, although the Mi 10 Pro does a slightly better job with the processing. Again the result is a tie.
Audio is excellent on both phones. Both devices include stereo speakers, but no audio jacks. The speakers of both phones offer a fairly generous volume without noticeable distortion. The sound through these speakers is both rich and clear. The highs and mids are fantastic, while the lows are not as impressive on both phones, but they are quite good. All in all, you will get an immersive sound both on OPPO Find X2 Pro and on Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro. It seems clear to me that even in this case we don't have a winner.
|Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro||OPPO Find X2 Pro|
It therefore seems that in the macro areas analyzed OPPO Find X2 Pro turns out to be the winner but the price has not been considered, as we have no certainties on the Global version that will be launched for both devices. The rumors, however, suggest that the OPPO solution will arrive at a price above 1000 euros while Mi 10 Pro will arrive with a price that will touch 1000 euros. So based on this information, we should give Mi 10 a point, thus bringing the two smartphones on par. So what appears? Well, we reserve the right to try them in person, but we are sure that whatever your choice, you will have a device in your hands that you will not regret.
