Oppo Find X2 Pro reviewed on DxOMark, ranks first

A few hours ago, the Chinese smartphone maker Oppo announced the new ones Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro. The latter brings some improvements compared to the basic version especially in the photographic sector. Well, these improvements are apparently enough to send him first in the rankings on the world's most important photo benchmark site, DxOMark.

Oppo Find X2 Pro

The site, based in Paris, has in fact just released the final score of Oppo Find X2 Pro. We are talking about 124 points that put it in first position together with the Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro, released a few weeks earlier. The score is then divided into the photo section, in which it receives 134 points and the video in which it gets 104 points.

But let's start by listing the hardware that allowed the smartphone to reach the top. The smartphone equips a 48MP main camera with 1 / 1.4-inch sensor, Quad-Bayer technology, a focal length equivalent to 25.46mm, focal aperture f / 1.7 and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization, therefore optical stabilization). We also have a 48MP 1/2 inch ultra wide secondary, always supported by Quad-Bayer technology, a focal length of 16.5mm and focal aperture of f / 2.2. Finally, we have a third 13MP telephoto camera with 1 / 3.4-inch sensor, 28.77mm focal length, f / 3 focal aperture and optical stabilization. All three cameras support PDAF (autofocus), 4K video at 60fps and are accompanied by a Dual LED flash.

Moving on to the actual review. The Oppo Find X2 Pro showed excellent autofocus performance, excellent colors and wide dynamic range. The noise levels were also low in all light conditions and there were good details in the short and long range zoom shots. Finally, the images taken with ultra wide lenses were also excellent and the bokeh shots had a wide dynamic range.

On the negative, however, the smartphone showed reduced details towards the edges with medium-range zoom, HDR sometimes did not activate for portrait shots, especially indoors, and there was also a slight lack of detail in the ultra wide shots.

As for the video side, the Oppo flagship was able to reproduce a good exposure even in low light; as well as capturing excellent colors with a wide dynamic range.
Optical image stabilization was also excellent, accompanied by fast and reliable autofocus. Also, in low light there was no high noise in the videos. Moving on to the cons, the Find X2 Pro showed some instability for exposure on HDR scenes, occasional local loss of detail in external clips, and some noise in videos shot outdoors.

In conclusion, the Oppo Find X2 Pro is a true flagship from every point of view, both in hardware, with a periscope lens, and in the software that allowed it to do well in the review.
