OPPO Find X2 Pro on DxOMark: The selfie cam does not convince

The latest flagship of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer OPPO, or the Find X2 Pro, has just been tested again by the famous photographic benchmarking site (and for a few months also audio), DxOMark. In this particular review, DxOMark has tested the front camera for selfies positioned in a hole on the top left display; let's see how it went!

OPPO Find X2 Pro on DxOMark: The selfie cam does not convince

OPPO FIND X2 PRO

Let's start by noting that the final score is quite low, with a total of 72 points. The score was obtained by a sensor with a resolution of 32 MP, a size of 1 / 2,8 inches and a pixel size of 0,8 µm, all coupled with a wide angle lens with a fixed aperture of f / 2,4. That said, despite the 32MP camera, the videos can be shot with a maximum resolution of 1080p and 30fps.

Going to the review itself, the overall quality of the front camera image of the Oppo Find X2 Pro has shown itself slightly behind the best in its category. The selfie cam also failed to match the excellent performance of the rear cameras. Although face exposure was generally good, HDR activation was very inconsistent and frustrating, with slight yellow cast and desaturated colors that led to often disappointing results.

Furthermore, even if the faces were quite sharp at medium and long distances, the overall details remain low except in very good light conditions. While if you like taking selfies from very close, DxOMark says that you will notice a strong blur.

On the other hand, we have video performances that are slightly better overall, as well as shooting with the excellent bokeh effect, if not perfect.

Finally we quickly remember that the OPPO Find X2 Pro had managed to get well 124 points with the rear camera module. This is thanks to a 48MP main camera with 1 / 1.4 inch size sensor; a 48MP 1/2 inch ultra wide secondary and a 13MP third camera with 1 / 3.4 inch sensor.
