OPPO starts the sale of refurbished devices on its e-commerce
Data on the volume of electronic waste are steadily increasing: in the last five years alone, it has grown by 21%. And only 17,4% of this waste is recycled. And for these reasons the sensitivity, even on the part of the tech giants, is finally changing. For example, OPPO has decided to implement new systems for the increase of life cycle of its smartphones.
How? By launching the sale of refurbished devices within its proprietary e-commerce, or OPPO Store. The benefits are both consumer and environmental, as it saves money and environmental energy.
Isabella Lazzini, Chief Marketing Officer OPPO Italia, said: “The sale of refurbished devices represents an important step for the company and an initiative we are very proud of. Respect for the environment and quality guarantee are in fact two key principles on which our brand is based: pillars that, with this project, manage to merge together and give life to a virtuous process that also involves our consumers".
But what are refurbished devices? These are returned products, perfectly intact or Live Demo Unit. They are all OPPO certified and guarantee maximum performance, both from a technical and aesthetic point of view. Plus, they come with a 12-month warranty.
