Oppo's next Reno 3 series is getting closer. Just the other day we were able to find i AnTuTu du Oppo Reno 3 and Reno 3 Pro scores, which anticipated the CPUs on board the different devices. Today, however, the official confirmation of the Chinese smartphone manufacturer arrives for at least one of the two. Reno 3 will adopt a MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G processor; let's find out the details.
Oppo Reno 3: MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G CPU confirmed
The MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G is a chipset that has not actually been made official by the Chinese chip maker yet. This is to say that the Oppo Reno 3 will be the first device in the world to equip the new CPU.
The Dimensity 1000L 5G is a weakened version of the Dimensity 1000 5G which instead represents the most performing processor of MediaTek; or at least that's what we can assume after seeing the scores on the AnTuTu benchmark platform.
As for the chip specifications, the Dimensity 1000L 5G is expected to use a 7nm production process and consist of four Cortex A77 cores, four A55 cores and a Mali-G77 GPU. The difference with the older brother should therefore lie in the maximum clock reduced to 2.42GHz; the same goes for the GPU.
It is also worth mentioning that the processor has as its model name MediaTek MT6885, which therefore may appear in some data sheets instead of Dimensity 1000L 5G.
Finally, as the name suggests, the MediaTek Dimensity 1000L 5G supports dual-mode NSA / SA 5G connectivity. A better technology than NSA-Only that we find on some devices released in 2019 like it Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G.
In addition to the ultra-modern chipset, the Oppo Reno 3 should also equip 8GB of RAM, 128GB of internal memory, support for fingerprint recognition under the screen and a 360 ° antenna to improve signal reception both when the smartphone it is held both vertically and horizontally.
The Oppo Reno 3 will be officially presented on December 26 in the Chinese province of Hangzhou.
