A few days ago we took a look at the Oppo Reno Ace 2 captured live for the first time. The smartphone in question seemed to adopt a design never used by Oppo. Specifically, we are talking about a round camera module which in China is called "Oreo" precisely because it resembles the American biscuit.
Oppo Reno Ace 2: The cover comes out online, confirmed "Oreo" cameras?
Well, today that design seems to have been confirmed by a new leak. This time it's a photo of what the device cover should be. As we can clearly see in the image above, we have in fact a round hole for the rear cameras which will therefore almost certainly be identical to those of the previous leak.
Unfortunately, we can't get much else from the shape of the case. But the hole for the 3.5mm audio jack does not seem present, while the buttons are distributed two on the left for volume and one on the right for on / off.
As for the hardware of the Oppo Reno Ace 2, several rumors suggest that the smartphone can adopt a large AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz. Turning on the back instead, we should find a total of four cameras, with the main having 48MP resolution and Sony IMX586 sensor with 1/2 inch size. That is the same sensor that we have on both the new Oppo Find X2 Standard Edition and Oppo Reno3 Pro.
To power this device devoted to photography, we should find the brand new MediaTek Dimensity 1000 processor. The rumor of the presence of the Dimensity 1000 on Reno Ace 2 had started a few weeks ago by the vice president of Oppo Brian Shen. Indeed, he had revealed that the company was in the process of releasing a smartphone with the new MediaTek chipset.
In addition to the modern processor, the Reno Ace 2 should also come with ultra advanced fast charging technology. The Reno Ace series is in fact known above all for the charging technology that on the first generation reached a maximum power of 65W. This technology called SuperVOOC Super Flash Charge 2.0 is still one of the fastest on the market.
Now, the Reno Ace 2 should exceed the power of 65W in order to be considered a true upgrade, but at the moment it seems difficult to us that this is possible precisely from a technical point of view.
In any case, the leaks of the last few days suggest that the official presentation is quite close.
