Let's start with the CPU adopted by the Reno2 Z. It is the recent MediaTek Helio P90 that had made its debut on the predecessor, the Oppo Reno Z. The processor, capable of collecting over 160 thousand points on the AnTuTu application, you can consider a rival of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710. So we will have excellent mid-range performance, at least on paper. While as regards the amount of RAM and internal memory, the smartphone is only available in a version with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Another quite important difference is then found in the photographic sector, the Oppo Reno 2 in fact adopted a retractable shark fin front camera, while the new Reno2 Z adopts the more common pop-up mechanism with a 16MP sensor. The rear ones instead see a slight downgrade with a 48MP main, 8MP secondary with ultra-wide lens, a third 2MP Black & White and a fourth 2MP depth sensor.

Still speaking of the photographic sector, the smartphone uses Ultra Steady technology to eliminate vibrations almost completely. The technology works while recording videos at a frame rate of 60fps to have clear and stabilized videos.

As for the display, the Reno2 Z equips a 6,5-inch diagonal AMOLED with an aspect ratio of 19,5: 9 and Full HD + resolution. We also have a new fingerprint sensor under the third generation screen that allows more light to enter and adds an RGB filter to decrease the possibility of entering with a copy of the fingerprint. It also improves the unlock speed by around 12,5% and the percentage of positive awards by around 4,3%.

Among the other specifications on board the Oppo Reno2 Z we also find a large 4000mAh battery with support for fast charging VOOC 3.0 flash charging through the USB Type-C port. The smartwatch also equips a 3,5mm audio jack and an NFC module to make electronic payments and more.

The Oppo Reno2 Z is now on sale in China for 2499 Yuan, or about 320 euros at the current exchange rate.
