Today OPPO held a conference for the launch of the Reno6 series, officially bringing the new Reno6, Reno6 Pro and Reno6 Pro +.
OPPO Reno6, Reno6 Pro and Reno6 Pro + official in China: prices starting from 2799 yuan (360 €)
Let's start with the appearance of the three smartphones they inherited the slim and elegant design typical of the Reno series. The standard version of the Reno6 is equipped with a high-refresh rate 6,4-inch OLED flat screen that supports a refresh rate of 90Hz and a sampling of the touch of 180Hz. At the same time, the frame also adopts a flat edge design, making it one of the few smartphones capable of standing without a stand.
In terms of performance, the smartphone uses the Dimensity 900 processor that MediaTek has just released. It is built with a 6nm process and adopts an eight-core architecture, including two Cortex A78 cores clocked at 2,4GHz and six 55GHz A2.0 cores. The GPU model is Mali-G68 MC4, which supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. In addition, the Dimensity 900 also integrates MediaTek's third generation APU.
For memory, however, this time the improvement of the Dimensity 900 is evident, which now supports LPDDR5 memory and USF 3.1 flash memory, so it is already on par with the Dimensity 1200 flagship.
In terms of connectivity, Dimensity 900's baseband chip supports Sub-6GHz full frequency band and 5G dual carrier aggregation, which can achieve spectrum bandwidth up to 120MHz. It also supports SA / NSA network, 5G dual standby dual card, dual full Netcom and dual card VoNR service.
As for photos, the Reno6 uses a combination of three cameras. We have a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra wide-angle camera and a 2MP one for macro photos. While for selfies we find a 32MP front lens.
The Reno6 is equipped with a 4300mAh battery that supports 65W super flash charging. At the same time, the smartphone weighs 180g and is only 7,5mm thick.
Moving on to the other two models, the Reno6 Pro and Reno6 Pro +, the screen specs are the same i.e. a 6,5-inch high-sensitivity curved OLED screen that supports a 90Hz refresh rate and a tactile sample rate of 180Hz.
For processors, the Reno900's Dimensity 6 moves up to the Reno1200 Pro's Dimensity 6, while the most premium of the three, the Reno6 Pro +, is equipped with a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 870.
There are also differences in the lenses of the three smartphones. The Reno6 Pro features a four-camera system with 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra wide angle, 2MP portrait sensor, and 2MP macro sensor. The Reno6 Pro + features a four-camera AI system with 50MP for the main camera, 16MP for the ultra wide angle, 13MP for the telephoto and 2MP for the macro.
The Reno6 Pro and Reno6 Pro + have the same battery capacity, both 4500mAh, and both support 65W super flash charging. All three smartphones are pre-installed with the ColorOS 11.3 operating system.
In terms of colorways, the Reno6 will have four colors to choose from: Summer Sunny Sea, Galaxy Dream, Night Sea and Xingdai Purple. The Reno6 Pro will have three color options: Summer Sunny Sea, Galaxy into Dream and Night Sea and finally the Reno6 Pro + will be available in two colors: Summer Sunny Sea and Moon Sea.
For the prices, we have the OPPO Reno6 i version 8 GB + 128 GB with a price of 2799 yuan (360 €), while the 12 GB + 256 GB version costs 3199 yuan (410 €). The Reno6 Pro in the 8 GB + 128 GB variant priced at 3499 yuan (450 €) and the one with 12 GB + 256 GB costs 3799 yuan (490 €). Finally, there is the Reno6 Pro + from 8 GB + 128 GB which costs 3999 yuan (510 €) and the 12 GB + 256 GB one for 4499 yuan (580 €).
