OPPO's SuperVOOC 2.0 is currently the fastest fast charging technology available on the market. In addition, there are few OPPO and Realme phones equipped with this 65W fast charging feature. Well, today, new rumors reveal that the next SuperVOOC 3.0 will come with a support for 80W fast charging.
OPPO working on 3.0W SuperVOOC 80, will it arrive next year?
The news comes from a Chinese tipster, such "Real Assen", according to him OPPO is working on SuperVOOC 3.0 technology that will be able to provide a maximum charging speed of 80 W. So it will be a significant increase in the charging speed compared to to the SuperVOOC 2.0 technology introduced last year.
The leakster also revealed that the technology will be made available next year. Therefore, there is a possibility that next year's flagship smartphones such as the Find X3, Ace3 and Realme X60 Pro series may be among those arriving with the SuperVOOC 3.0. The new charging speed should work at a voltage of 20 V and a current of 4 A.
In any case, OPPO has yet to officially confirm the existence of the next generation of SuperVOOC recharge. Current 65 W fast charge technology can fully charge a 4000mAh phone within 30 minutes. The 80W fast charge technology should therefore reduce charging times by a few minutes longer on a phone with the same battery size.
As for competitors, we have Lenovo which is expected to launch the Lenovo Legion Gaming Phone before long. The company has already confirmed that it will arrive with a 90 W fast charging technology. While a recently leaked video on the Chinese social network Weibo showed a 120 W Xiaomi charger. So we expect to see the charging times reduce significantly next year, at least on top of the range smartphones.
